The Declaration of War

Nyeupe walked along the borders of his kingdom,looking into his brothers Spiritlands,pending on whether or not to anter them and confront him.After a long time pacing and thinking he decided to go into his lands,he sniffed the air seeing if there was a warrior patroling and got now scent of one,then walked up to where his brother was and called out "Pili!"

Pili had been snoozing under a large acacia tree, sleeping the day away as nothing really ever happened in his lands that the lionesses couldn't tend to. His sleep was interupted however, by a familiar voice that he hadn't heard in a long while. "Brother..." he yawned. He shot his brother dagger eyes as he ran his paw over the scars their last fight had earned him. "What do you want?"

"I need to take to you" he said with a stern voice,glaring at his brother to make him understand that he should not try anything stupid "I know............that you want to start a war with me......" he stayed a distance away so if his brother got up he would not be attacked "I came to warn you that is is not a good idea at all,I have very powerful allies"

"I never said anything about war, brother. But if it's war you want, I have some of the finest warriors, mind you." He stated proudly. "And my allies are willing to sacrifice their lives for the sake of another ally." He paused to think. "Times have been calm, why have you come here to start trouble?"

He looked down and smiled a sly smile that his brother would be unable to see due to his mane. Oh it was true alright, but Nyuepe was still skeptical so he could be steered. His sly expression faded as he looked back up at his brother."It's not true. I don't know where your lions are getting their information, but things have been calm. I have no intentions of war. It would be pointless...don't you think?"

"Hrrrrrm..........." he paused "Perhaps........but....knowing how sly you are it is very hard to trust you...." he stopped to sigh and then continued to say "especially since you started to hate me as you grew........" he then looked sternly at his brother then spoke once more "Knowing your history you are a hard lion to trust now"

"Either way, what would be a good reason for me to start one? Petty past squabbles aside, nothing major has happened that would make me send my lions on you." he rolled his eyes at his brother's well placed suspicions. Truth be told, he didn't need a reason. He was immature as nothing esle, he wanted war simply because he thought his brother was deserving of it. But he would continue to play the innocent, coy card until Nyuepe let his guard down once more, then he would see the true extent of little Pili's wrath,

Nyeupe still being suspicious of his brother slightly let his gaurd down and said "Alright brother......I believe you" he began to walk out of his den,but suddely felt fear,he did not understand why,but as he looked back something had scared him,something about his brother.

Pili just smiled as his brother left. "Fool..." he said hushed. "Don't forget to tell your pride their worries were for nothing!" he shouted as his brother was heading away. He wanted all suspicion cleared before he ever let his warriors set foot in the warlands.

Nyeupe left his brother in peace and walked back to his pride,looking around to see if anyone was going to try and do anything stupid.He looked around for quite some time unsure of what was to happen next.Finally feeling safe he let his gaird down and walked to the border.

Akelo sneaked around as on King Pili's orders he was supposed to attack king Nyeupe., he scanned the area and paused when he caught a scent, he grinned as he walked slowly without trying to make a noise. He eventually saw the lion who he supposed was Nyeupe. His king described him and it was a perfect match with the lion he was looking at. He growled " kings orders. " he grumbled as he went to roar and pounce on Nyeupe.

Nyeupe growled and roared in pain as he was atacked,with this lions claws gripping his fur and skin,he looked at his back and saw the large lion,he growled angrilly at him then tried to throw him off by running around.He ran for minutes until the lion was loose,then he jumped up and puposely landed on his back on top of the lion that was on him.

Pili heard the distant roaring and growling, and knew his warrior had found his brother. He caught up to the scrap and watched from the shadows of a cluster of trees. All the while he watched, a smile was on his face. He mouthed the words to his brother "you're dead." He hoped he saw them, and he hoped he knew he wasn't playing around anymore.

Akelo gave a grunt when he was thrown off " so you must be king Nyeupe I was told about. " he smirked. He started to circle him, " hmm. " he mumbled as he then stopped in front of him. " Looks like it's time for me to keep the kings orders to get rid of you. and your going to stay dead." he grinned as he went to attack again. Akelo was one of the most loyal to King Pili.

"WHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT???????" he roared as angry as he had ever been in his entire life "I KNEW IT!" as the large lion had pounced once more something had overcome this peaceful white lion,a hatred so horrible it had to be let out,he roared once more then pounced at the large lion himself and pinned him to the ground and said "Even though I am not your King you committed high treason,so since I cannot exile you..................I WILL KILL YOU!" he growled then went for the lions throught,getting past his mane.When he was sure that this lion was dead he got up,with lifeless eyes and looked at the direction where he saw the shadow of a lion,he glared,being sure that it was his brother and said "this....................THIS MEANS WAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!!"He roared as loud as he could so that hos brother could hear him and feel fear in his heart.

Pili got up when he saw his lion dead. "It would be my pleasure, BROTHER." He snarled and ran up to his brother, fur on end. "If it is war you want, it is war you shall recieve...my lions have been preparing for this longer than your have known about it. I have the upper hand. Just watch, your lands will be mine..."

Nyeupe glared at his brother with his still lifeless eyes,he forced himself not to run up and attack him while he had the chance to.He looked into Pili's eyes and said "There shall be war."he growled and then said "Just try and take my lands" Nyeupe stared at his brother a while,then walked away limping and said "You best watch yourself brother......if I have to.......I will kill you" then walked back to his royal den and layed there a while "War......."
